Begin your day with a guided tour of the Seward House Museum in Auburn, a beautifully preserved estate built in 1816.  This historic home holds an extraordinary collection of political memorabilia, travel souvenirs, photographs, and decorative arts chronicling the nearly 40-year political career of William H. Seward.  Seward served as a New York State Senator, Governor of New York, U.S. Senator, and Secretary of State under Presidents Lincoln and Johnson.  The home’s elegant interior has been meticulously restored, offering a rich glimpse into 19th-century life and leadership.  After the tour, we’ll take a short and scenic drive to Skaneateles for lunch at the Sherwood Inn, a local treasure that has welcomed guests since 1807.  Enjoy a delicious meal in this historic setting, with your choice of:
  • Chicken French with tavern rice, and seasonal vegetables
  • Yankee Pot Roast with mashed potatoes, julienne root vegetables, and Sherwood gravy
  • Scrod Christopher finished with a cracker crumb crust, tavern rice, and seasonal vegetables
We’ll wrap up this delightful day with a stop at the REV Theater for a dazzling performance of Top Hat.  Set to the iconic music of Irving Berlin, this production brings the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s golden age to the stage.  Expect show-stopping numbers including Cheek to Cheek, Top Hat, White Tie and Tails, Let’s Face the Music and Dance and Puttin’ on the Ritz.  With elegant costumes, witty charm, and the timeless magic of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Top Hat promises an unforgettable finale to your day.
