Join us on this monthly program where we have a local presenter speak about an interesting topic or history followed by a full pizza lunch.  All presentations will occur on the fourth Monday of the month followed by lunch consisting of one piece of pizza, tossed salad, fruit and drink.  The fee collected is put towards our presenter fees, while a suggested contributions of $3.50 towards lunch can be accepted on the day of the lunch. Mon - January 22:  Honor Flight Rochester - Honoring American Veterans - Learn how Honor Flight started and began in Rochester and learn all that goes into making a trip happen.  Rochester, New York is one of 130 established 'hubs' in the national Honor Flight Network. We are not-for-profit, and created to honor America's veterans for their sacrifices. “We fly our heroes to Washington, DC to visit and reflect together at their memorials.”Mon - February 26:  Total Solar Eclipse - Join Mark Minarich from the Astronomy Section, Rochester Academy of Science to learn about this fascinating very rare total eclipse that will be here.  What to expect and how to prepare for the Total Solar Eclipse on the afternoon of April 8, 2024.  What is a Total solar eclipse?  How often do they happen?  How can I observe this one safely?  Glasses will be given to each participate that attends!Mon - March 11:  Ground Truth - Join former CIA agent Dan Caster who grew up in Greece, NY to a family in which serving your country was required of all males.  Dan served over 30 years in both the US Military and the CIA.  He retired in 2012 after serving as an Intelligence Officer in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for 22 years.  In those 22 years, he served throughout the Intelligence Community (IC) in both the US and in 25 different foreign countries with just under 12 years of overseas deployments.  Prior to joining the CIA, he served in the US Air Force and US Air Force Reserve for 10 years.  He is graduate of RIT receiving a BFA in 1988 and now a practicing artist.  **Unlike other presentations, this talk will be 90 minutes.Mon - April 22:  Rochester Red Wings - Take me out to the Ballgame!  Rochester Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason will be stopping by on Monday, April 22 at 10:30am to speak at our Presenting with Pizza Program.  Dan will update us on the upcoming 2024 season with what’s happening on and off the field, including many of the construction projects and improvements at Innovative Field. Mon - May 20:  Why Zoos Exist - Learn the story of Seneca Park Zoo, the Zoo Society, and how we collectively save species from extinction.  Learn about forest saving projects in Borneo and Madagascar, sturgeon and otter reintroductions in our own backyard, and penguin-saving science.  Walk away knowing that your visit to the Zoo helps save ecosystems across the world and see some critters from the zoo right in front of your eyes!Mon - June 17:  Angel's Truck Stop: A Woman's Love, Laughter, and Loss during the Vietnam War (A Memoir) -  Lt. Col. Pilato takes you back to the sixties, one of the most turbulent times in modern history.  An unpopular war is raging, students are protesting, black neighborhoods are on fire, and women are demanding equality.  Angel tells how these events affected her and her decision to join the Air Force.  As the first woman Air Force officer assigned to manage an Officers’ Club and the first to run one on a fighter base in Southeast Asia, she gives a unique perspective of the war.  In her memoir Angel’s Truck Stop, A Woman’s Love, Laughter, and Loss during the Vietnam War she recounts starting out as a starry-eyed idealist only to realize that she’s going to have to learn how to manage the conflicts, challenges and choices she faces in her trailblazing position.          ** No eligible person shall be denied benefits or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving any Federal, State, or County funding. Chair Yoga Stretch, Strength and Balance is a safe and fun way to incorporate yoga practices using both seated and optional standing postures.  It gives you the same benefits of traditional yoga, while providing additional support and stability from the chair.  A foundational, therapeutic practice that promotes balance, strength and flexibility.  We will incorporate breath and posture awareness along with relaxation techniques. We will use props such as tennis balls, yoga blocks and straps for added strength, range of motion and balance. No need to bring a yoga mat, but if you want your own tennis ball, please bring one. Other props will be provided.  Join us for a fun and safe practice for everyone! ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:  Sue Van Slyke has been involved with yoga for over 20 years and is accredited with the Yoga Alliance.  She has earned her Interdisciplinary Yoga Teacher certification, Cancer Thriver Yoga Certification, and Restorative Yoga Certification.Late registrations are accepted and pro-rated!  Please call the office to register!

Join this fun and new class and make some community connections!  This class helps participants stay mobile, strong, and steady on their feet.  Balancing both sides and various parts of the body increases resilience, independence and postural stability which can boost confidence.  Receiving the benefits of our balance practice can also improve overall well being and prevent or minimize falls.During this workshop we will: Work with breathing exercises to improve focus, increase endurance & energy levels. Warm up the body and loosen the joints to prepare for movement and coordination. Practice exercises that consist of walking balancing poses, standing balance poses, stretching, strengthening the core and mental agility. Focus will be on our feet. Good foot health is essential for an active life. They serve as the foundation for your entire body for support, balance, and posture. ***Plan to be on your feet a good portion of the class - with minimal chair support. ***This class will not be pro-rated.

It doesn’t matter if you have been dancing for a long time or are a beginner, this will be a fun dance class for all.David Interlicchia is an Instructor/Director at Dance Biz and instructs all styles of dance. He has been teaching line dance in the Rochester area for over 30 years. A minimum of 10 is needed.

Join this fun and new class and make some community connections!  This class helps participants stay mobile, strong, and steady on their feet.  Balancing both sides and various parts of the body increases resilience, independence and postural stability which can boost confidence.  Receiving the benefits of our balance practice can also improve overall well being and prevent or minimize falls.During this workshop we will: Work with breathing exercises to improve focus, increase endurance & energy levels. Warm up the body and loosen the joints to prepare for movement and coordination. Practice exercises that consist of walking balancing poses, standing balance poses, stretching, strengthening the core and mental agility. Focus will be on our feet. Good foot health is essential for an active life. They serve as the foundation for your entire body for support, balance, and posture. ***Plan to be on your feet a good portion of the class - with minimal chair support. ***This class will not be pro-rated.

We will be taking a break from playing the game but will be cooking up a few delicious things like dragon cupcakes, edible dungeons, and much more. Since Miss Liz doesn't know how to play, maybe we can have a discussion to enlighten her and give others a few tips on how to be victorious when playing.

Join us on this monthly program where we have a local presenter speak about an interesting topic or history followed by a full pizza lunch.  All presentations will occur on the fourth Monday of the month followed by lunch consisting of one piece of pizza, tossed salad, fruit and drink.  The fee collected is put towards our presenter fees, while a suggested contributions of $3.50 towards lunch can be accepted on the day of the lunch. Mon - January 22:  Honor Flight Rochester - Honoring American Veterans - Learn how Honor Flight started and began in Rochester and learn all that goes into making a trip happen.  Rochester, New York is one of 130 established 'hubs' in the national Honor Flight Network. We are not-for-profit, and created to honor America's veterans for their sacrifices. “We fly our heroes to Washington, DC to visit and reflect together at their memorials.”Mon - February 26:  Total Solar Eclipse - Join Mark Minarich from the Astronomy Section, Rochester Academy of Science to learn about this fascinating very rare total eclipse that will be here.  What to expect and how to prepare for the Total Solar Eclipse on the afternoon of April 8, 2024.  What is a Total solar eclipse?  How often do they happen?  How can I observe this one safely?  Glasses will be given to each participate that attends!Mon - March 11:  Ground Truth - Join former CIA agent Dan Caster who grew up in Greece, NY to a family in which serving your country was required of all males.  Dan served over 30 years in both the US Military and the CIA.  He retired in 2012 after serving as an Intelligence Officer in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for 22 years.  In those 22 years, he served throughout the Intelligence Community (IC) in both the US and in 25 different foreign countries with just under 12 years of overseas deployments.  Prior to joining the CIA, he served in the US Air Force and US Air Force Reserve for 10 years.  He is graduate of RIT receiving a BFA in 1988 and now a practicing artist.  **Unlike other presentations, this talk will be 90 minutes.Mon - April 22:  Rochester Red Wings - Take me out to the Ballgame!  Rochester Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason will be stopping by on Monday, April 22 at 10:30am to speak at our Presenting with Pizza Program.  Dan will update us on the upcoming 2024 season with what’s happening on and off the field, including many of the construction projects and improvements at Innovative Field. Mon - May 20:  Why Zoos Exist - Learn the story of Seneca Park Zoo, the Zoo Society, and how we collectively save species from extinction.  Learn about forest saving projects in Borneo and Madagascar, sturgeon and otter reintroductions in our own backyard, and penguin-saving science.  Walk away knowing that your visit to the Zoo helps save ecosystems across the world and see some critters from the zoo right in front of your eyes!Mon - June 17:  Angel's Truck Stop: A Woman's Love, Laughter, and Loss during the Vietnam War (A Memoir) -  Lt. Col.
